Senior Make-Up Pictures

Senior make-up pictures are on Monday, October 2nd in the gym foyer.  Seniors must sign up at the security desk September 25 - 29 to have their picture taken.  When you sign up, you will receive a pass to use on October 2.  Students must have the $35 sitting fee at time of pictures.

Junior Class Rings and Senior Cap and Gowns

Our Jostens Junior and Senior assemblies will be on Tuesday, September 26.  At this time Juniors will receive information regarding class rings and Seniors will receive information about cap and gowns and other graduation items.  Jostens will then be here during lunches on the following dates for students to purchase products – 9/27, 9/28, 10/2, and 10/3.

Jostens Parent Night is on Tuesday, October 3 from 6:30 to 8:30pm.  Please visit www.jostens.com or call 1-800-JOSTENS with any questions.

CALLING ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS OF GREEN RUN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Here is your opportunity to experience what a day in the life of your son or daughter is like at Green Run High School.  On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, the Stallion Staff and PTSA invite you to participate in our FIRST annual “A Day in our Shoes.”  Parents/Guardians follow the class schedule of your student. This is your opportunity to experience an academic day at Green Run High School and meet all of the teachers who work with your student.  For one day, you can carry books, navigate through the hallways, take copious notes, participate in class discussions, and be a true Stallion! Lunch will be provided for participants in our Library Media Center.

To register, go to www.Tiny.cc/GRHS2017  or complete the registration form by visiting the QR code and have your student return it to the school’s Main Office no later than Monday, November 27th. Please contact Green Run High School at 757-648-5350 if you have any questions.

Just a reminder……this activity is designed for parents and legal guardians only.  Sorry, no younger siblings, older brothers or sisters, aunts, uncles, or friends of the family.

New SOL Testing Delivery Software

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) has been working to expand the types of devices that school divisions can use in the administration of Standards of Learning (SOL) online tests. In order to accomplish this goal, the VDOE is upgrading its software from TestNav7 to TestNav8. Instructions for downloading TestNav8 on personal/home electronic devices can be found by clicking this link.

Behind the Wheel

Behind the Wheel applications are on the table in the guidance office.  Please fill out the application completely and return it to the main office. You will be notified when your driving session starts. All applicants need to have a learner’s permit, passed driver education classroom theory (have a green card), and be working on their 45 hour driving log.

Cost is $219.00 and is due the day class begins.

Parent-teacher conferences are held every first and third Wednesday from 2:15 p.m.-2:45 p.m. in the GRHS library. To schedule an appointment, complete and submit the form below.
