The fifth grade strings will perform at 6 p.m. followed by the fourth grade’s presentation of Music Matters by Teresa Jennings. It will be a wonderful night of celebrating music!

Spring Blood Drive

Spring Blood Drive Want to save a life? The SCA will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on Tuesday March 17th. In order to donate you must be 16 years or older and turn in a signed permission form. Permission forms can be picked up outside Rooms 220 and 221. Signed permission forms must be turned in to get an appointment time for the day of the drive!


Attention Seniors: GRADFEST: A drug and alcohol FREE celebration for our graduates! Awesome food, games, entertainment and prizes......... all night long! Pay for your entry/ticket to "Hollywood: Night of the Stars" on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the gym foyer from noon to 2:30pm. Click here for more information

Mar. 2-11 $35.00
Portable 3 7:00- 7:15 AM (no tardy passes will be given) and 2:00- 3:00 No class interruptions allowed for tickets or questions.
Who is in charge? Mrs. Briscoe and Class of 2016 Officers
Who may buy tickets? GRHS JUNIORS ONLY
How many tickets may Juniors buy? 1 for him/herself (student ID # required for student who is buying) and ONE for a guest.
Do I have to tell who my guest will be? YES- First/Last Name/School
What if my guest is not a GRHS student? Ask Mrs. Briscoe for the necessary permission form.
What if I have another question? Ask Mrs. Briscoe in Portable 3 before or after school or email her at [email protected]
When is the dance? March 20 7-11 PM at Virginia Wesleyan College
What do I plan to wear to the event? IT IS FORMAL -Evening attire rquired- absolutely no sneakers, jeans, or sagging pants.

Virginia eLearning Backpack Initiative

The eLearning Backpack Initiative, funded largely by state grant, is providing a tablet computer to every 9th grade student at Bayside, Green Run and Kempsville high schools. In addition, students are receiving supporting digital content, applications and access to content creation tools. Behind the Wheel: Behind the Wheel is continuing to fill spots for the remainder of the school year. If you have a valid Virginia learner's permit, SIGN UP TODAY!
