Our mission at Green Run High School, in partnership with students, parents, and community, is to provide a safe and nurturing environment which fosters both educational excellence and the development of 21st century learners and citizens.

NJROTC Distinguished Unit Honors

Our NJROTC unit recently earned Distinguished Unit with Academic Honors for 2012-2013.

The 'distinguished' level is based on a combination of their success in the Annual Military Inspection, placement in JROTC competitions, community service hours and many other factors, while the 'academic honors' stems from the cumulative academic level of cadets enrolled in the program. This means that our unit placed in the top 10 of the units that were designated distinguished.

Green Run High School Among Nation's Best

In a Washington Post list of the nations' best high schools which was released last week, Green Run High School was rated 1,892 out of the top 1,900 high schools across the United States. Green Run, along with the rest of the schools in the district, rank among the top nine percent in the country. The rankings are based on the number of students who signed up for Advanced Placement tests last school year. Those numbers are then divided by the number of total graduates for the 2011-2012 school year.

Exxon Mobil Education Alliance Award

GRHS has received a $500.00 donation from Exxon Mobil's Education Alliance. The donation is designated to be used towards math and science education. One of our local Pit Stop Exxon gas stations nominated us. We are truly grateful for this generous gift.
