The Green High School Guidance Department consists of five full-time counselor’s, a part-time counselor who works with our 9th graders in the morning, and one receptionist/registrar (Ms. Dodds), one data technician (Mrs. Bailey) and our ACCESS Advisor Ms. Whitehead. Each counselor is assigned students alphabetically (see below) according to the student's last name. Mrs. Atkinson is the Guidance Department Chair.

Guidance Program Mission Statement

The mission of the Virginia Beach City Public Schools High/Middle/Elementary School Guidance Program is to partner with parents, community, faculty and staff to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students thus preparing them with the knowledge and skills to be productive members of society.
